Cristian holds a ‘Bachelor in Social Communication’, ‘Master in Strategic Communication’ and he graduated at the National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies at the Ministry of Defense Chile with the post degree in ‘Political and Strategic Studies’ and a ‘Master in Security and Defense, mayor in Political-Strategic Management’. In 2007, he participated in the ‘National Security and Defense Strategy Course’ at the Inter-American Defense College. In 2008, he graduated at the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies at the National Defense University of USA, in Washington DC. on having obtained the scholarship program of “Strategy and Defense Policy” and the Certificate of Fellowship in ‘Recognition of role played in promoting peace and stability’.

He has been employed in three fields; firstly, as professor of post-degree in Chile secondly as private researcher, analyst and consultant in New Zealand, Australia and Japan, and thirdly as adviser in political strategic management and strategic communication for security and defense in the governmental area. Moreover, he has taken part in diverse seminars and conferences of studies on Strategy and Policy of Defense, at entities such as IDA, OEA, the Pentagon and the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies.

His work since 2004 focuses on three main areas: ‘Strategic Planning’, ‘Strategic Communication’ and ‘Security and Defense’.

From 2011 to date he has been preparing a PhD research proposal called “Asia-Pacific, Strategic Communication of Security and National Defense for Natural Disasters”.
